Dr. Dancot is a recognised expert in nursing education, workforce development, and healthcare research. She serves as a Lecturer at Haute École Robert Schuman (HERS), as an Associate Professor at the University of Liège, and is the President of acn-ASBL, a Belgian association for nursing professionals. Her work focuses on nursing education, self-esteem, clinical competence development, and workforce sustainability, with multiple publications on these critical topics. She has also contributed to the development of competency frameworks for advanced nursing practice, influencing policy and professional training across Belgium.
Professor Kristina Mikkonen (PhD, RN)
Dr Mikkonen is a recognised expert in nursing education, mentoring, digital learning, and workforce integration in healthcare. She serves as Professor of Nursing Science at the University of Oulu, Finland, where she leads the HealthEduCom research group. She is also a visiting professor at Osaka University and Northumbria University. Her work focuses on healthcare education, mentoring, digital innovation in learning, and integrating diverse and international workforces into health systems, with numerous academic publications on these topics. She has contributed to the advancement of nursing science by shaping how healthcare education and mentorship are delivered across international contexts, influencing both clinical practice and nurse workforce development.
Professor Marco Tomietto (PhD, RN)
Dr Tomieotte is a recognised expert in clinical learning environments, mentorship, and workforce management in nursing. He serves as Professor of Nursing at Northumbria University, UK, and as a Docent at the University of Oulu, Finland. With a background spanning clinical practice, education, and leadership, his work focuses on combining nursing science with organisational psychology to improve nurse retention, education, and engagement. He has contributed to the development of strategies that support newly qualified nurses, address staff shortages, and enhance the integration of practical, user-friendly technology into nursing practice — helping healthcare organisations strengthen their workforce and reduce administrative burden.
